Client Jag Building Group
A complete rebrand for a Mississauga based Commercial construction company expanding their operations to the United States.
Creating the logo with a feel for the USA.
Our designers were given the challenge to create a new logo for JAG that was both professional and modern, as many of their clients are top retail chains, as well as employing some element of US identity.
As we explored a few logo options we employed visual tools from US flag elements to designs that utilized space, or the idea of space, commercial structures etc. However the name JAG was so punchy we also wanted to create a design that fit overall.
The final logo uses red and blue (with white as the background), and employs two triangles folding in a flag like manner, but also resembling a bird of prey. Strong architectural shapes with bold colour and dynamic angles bring the brandmark together with an industrial sans serif font.
Bringing out the logo's best in print and online.
As the brandmark contains a strong visual descender (the red triangle) it became a fun and unique design element to use on print materials allowing our designers to ground type and draw readers vision straight to content.
The leading diagonal the brings the eye directly to the logo used in a "signature" style placement. This diagonal was used extensively through the web design using converging points to align content, headings and imagery.
The website also contains elements such as a project gallery and tie-in with custom third part software for project bidding and selection.
Our graphic designers also produced a number of suggestions for promotional materials to be handed out to construction workers and other contacts in related industries. Overall a fun branding project, and JAG is making real headway in the US as the market recovers.
